Biography

Marshall was born and raised in Louisville. He earned a BS from University of Tennessee in 1975, and his law degree from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1978. For over 48 years, Marshall has advocated for victims of serious injury and wrongful death. He handles a wide range of complex cases, including:

Vehicle Accidents: Cars, motorcycles, trucks, and planes.
Public Safety: Pedestrian, bicycle, and dog bite incidents (especially involving children).
Medical malpractice and defective products.
Workplace Hazards: Construction accidents and electrocutions.

In 2001, Marshall was a founding member of this personal injury law firm. Since that time, he has continued to fight for his injured clients. His goal is to get every client fully compensated for harms and losses caused by the negligence of others. He has recovered millions of dollars for thousands of clients he has successfully represented in the last 48 years. He has had recoveries of $1,000,000 or more for clients injured in automobile, motorcycle, trucking, pedestrian, medical malpractice, electrocution, workplace and airplane crash cases. These cases have involved serious physical injury or wrongful death.

Marshall has been an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell since 1999. This is the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell. This rating applies to both legal ability and ethics. He has been selected as a Kentucky Super Lawyer from 2011 to 2026. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. NAOPIA, the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, Inc recognized Marshall as a Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney in Kentucky. He is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, and a member of the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Justice Association for over 47 years.

Marshall and his wife Denise have been married for 43 years. They are extremely proud of their three sons, Marshall, Jimmy and Matt. Jimmy and Matt graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and both have chosen to work with the personal injury law firm. When Marshall is not helping injured clients he likes to spend time with his growing family. This now includes seven grandchildren and two dogs. He also enjoys watching and attending college football and basketball games, and fishing at the family lake house.
