On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, a tractor trailer hauling wooden flooring overturn on I-75 in Scott County just north of Lexington. A car and a pickup truck were involved in the wreck and at least one person suffered serious injuries.
What went wrong?
News reports have been very vague and police are still investigating. However, trucks don’t just tip over by themselves. Tire blowouts, driving too fast around a curve, driver distraction, unbalanced loads and overloaded, top heavy trucks are all possibilities which could lead to a truck turning over on an interstate.
