On Saturday, July 8, 2023, Oldham County Police (OCP) responded to reports of a fatal hit-and-run accident near the 6600 block of Kentucky 146 in Crestwood. According to a report from WAVE, OCP was able to track down the person responsible through photos, license plate data, and other evidence. Investigators say a 25-year-old man struck and killed a person in his 1999 red Dodge Durango, then fled the scene.
He was picked up by police about a mile away from the accident site, where he was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
The man is currently being held at Oldham County Detention Center.
