Early in the morning on March 9th, three people passed away in a tragic Laurel County collision. The three people who died in this crash were traveling together in the same car.

According to Lex18, this crash involved one pickup truck and one car and took place at the intersection between Hal Rogers Parkway and Sinking Creek Road. News reports claim the truck driver was not harmed in this accident. Officers say this crash took place a little before 7:30AM.

Accidents involving Sun Glare

According to officers, the sun could have temporarily blinded the truck driver’s vision as he was driving into the intersection.

It is extremely important to not enter an intersection unless you can see if you are clear to do so without crossing the path of oncoming vehicles. Dirty windshields may contribute to the glare you see on a windshield. Just like any obstruction such as fog or snow, adjust your speed accordingly to compensate for the glare.
