Help for Families After Car Crashes in Louisville

Families can feel completely alone and be wondering what to do after accidents claim the lives of their loved ones. They can have to cope with the heartbreaking grief they feel while also having to deal with almost immediate financial hardships stemming from collisions. The high cost of a funeral and burial along with hospital and ambulance service bills can all come due. This extreme burden tends to come as the family is struggling with the loss of the financial assistance the deceased had always provided through his or her job.

In these difficult circumstances, close relatives of the victim are allowed to file a wrongful death claim against at-fault drivers and the car insurance companies that cover them.  A wrongful death claim can help pay for the bills that a family may be facing and also serve to keep the family out of a financial crisis in the years to come as they must move on without the guidance and support a loved one would have provided.

Wrongful death lawsuits can be filed by a close family member who depended on the support of the deceased. This can include a spouse, children of the victim, and in some cases the siblings or parents of the victim. A lawyer can help with this process and make sure that insurance companies are held responsible for every hardship a family faces.
