Two students have been selected for the 2024 Alberta C. Kaufman Scholarship.

Congratulations to Jabari W
Jabari W. is a senior at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Jabari is attending the University of Kentucky in the fall. He plans to pursue a degree in Business Management. In Jabari’s heartfelt essay he shared how grateful he is for his strong loving mother. He shared how she taught him to press on through challenges and to work to find ways through difficult circumstances. We congratulate Jabari on his graduation and wish him continued success.
Congratulations to Emmalee M.
Emmalee M. is a graduate of Butler Traditional High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Outside of school and volunteering, Emmalee has a job working with children with medical complexities. Her goal is to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, to teach students with moderate and severe disabilities. In her thoughtful essay Emmalee shared how her grandfather was a source of encouragement and taught her the importance of empathy and kindness. We congratulate Emmalee on her achievements and wish her well as she works toward earning her degree.
