Motorcyclists can face extreme risks around drivers who don’t take the time to check their mirrors and blind spots for nearby riders. This lack of focus from drivers is even a threat at night when the headlights on motorcycles should be a clear indication of their presence.
A simple mistake by a careless motorist can send a rider off a motorcycle to suffer serious and life-threatening injuries.

Finding Support for Families After a Lexington Motorcycle Accident
Families who have lost a loved one in a fatal motorcycle accident can face enormous bills almost immediately. A wrongful death claim helps them with these bills in the short term and also helps families avoid a financial crisis in the future.
This civil claim is filed against the at-fault driver’s car insurance policy. It seeks to earn financial support to help close relatives pay for things like a memorial service and burial. The money can also be used to cover ambulance and emergency response charges from the night of the accident.
A wrongful death claim is also utilized to protect close family members in the years to come as they must move on without the guidance and emotional support a loved one would have offered. Full reimbursement for the weekly income the deceased may have provided close family members should also factor into a claim. Family members can face financial hardships years down the road without the income they may have come to depend on.

Families should be provided all the time they need to grieve a tragic loss after a motorcycle accident. Sadly, they must monitor every move an insurance company makes in the wake of a collision. Insurance adjusters often try to blame motorcyclists for their own accidents no matter what an accident report says. This is an unfair practice used to avoid paying a victimized family the support they need.
